President Sara Galiger’s Message

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

Does your heart start humming and thoughts of endless tasks fade as music fills Mahaffey Hall? This music filled those halls during the Covid event and continues to do so. I can imagine you nodding in agreement and that, dear members, is why we are here – to keep this music alive.

I am honored to serve as your president again with a talented and dedicated board, standing and special committee chairs. We look forward to you for assistance.

Last year the Guild supported the Orchestra with over $100,000 dollars. That is the figure we need to achieve and pass this year. There are many ways we can do this with your help by volunteering in one or all our events. In October, we are the Bucket Brigade collecting donations during intermission at the Vinoy Park Concert; in February we celebrate with the Sweetheart Tea; and in April, we honor an individual(s) who has exceeded expectations in supporting the Orchestra with the Golden Baton.

This is your Guild. The success or failure depends on your support. I am counting on you.
